Vernon Huffman
Raised in Montana and lived 21 years on Whidbey Island, WA, but often on the go, Vernon calls the whole earth home. His only vehicle is a bicycle, and he uses shared transportation and electronic communications.
Vernon's history is on the web. He blogs, carries a cell phone (425-438-8985) and uses e-mail. Google him to learn lots more (he's not the basketball player). His life is an open book. He's a writer and musician who spent seven years as a training specialist and has most recently worked as a videographer, grip, and stagehand. He has been devoted to voluntary simplicity since the mid-80's and is a lifelong peace activist.
Last year Vernon rode across the continent with Bike4Peace. He's committed to go at least all the way to DC with the Catalysts of HOPE. Who knows? Michele and Vernon enjoy dreaming about the future.
On the Journey, Vernon will facilitate workshops and haul a trailer containing Willow and Grace behind his 27-speed hybrid tourist bike. He is an opportunivore who prefers a raw vegan diet. Opinionated, but willing to listen, it's very hard to offend Vernon, so his friends don't even try any more.
